Uncharted Waters Silver Pendant

One-of-a-Kind Jasper Pendant by Christine Keller

There are stones that tell you immediately what they are—and then there are stones that invite you to keep looking.

Uncharted Waters began with the second kind.

The natural Jasper at the center of this one-of-a-kind pendant holds a landscape that seems to change with every glance. From one angle, its blue-green markings resemble water winding through an unfamiliar stretch of land, as though viewed from high above. Look again, and something entirely different may appear.

That mystery is what drew me to the stone.

Rather than define what nature created, I built the silverwork around it and allowed the Jasper to remain the focal point. Textured sterling silver follows its organic shape, while an open section of silver beneath the stone gives way to three freely moving dangles.

Small carnelian and tiger eye stones bring the warm rust, gold and earth tones of the Jasper into the lower portion of the design. Handcrafted silver elements add movement, changing the silhouette subtly as the pendant is worn.

I chose a simple adjustable silver chain for this piece rather than a gemstone chain. There is already an entire world happening within the pendant, and I wanted to give it room to speak.

I named it Uncharted Waters because it reminds me of looking toward someplace not yet explored—a landscape without a map, where what you discover may depend entirely upon what you see.

And perhaps that's the most interesting thing about this piece.

Created individually by Christine Keller, Uncharted Waters is an original Chrizart Creations work. The natural pattern within this Jasper cannot be duplicated, and this design will not be recreated. When it finds its collector, this piece becomes part of the continuing archive of Christine Keller's one-of-a-kind work.

Wellness & Symbolism

Jasper has long been associated in traditional crystal practices with grounding, stability and connection to the Earth. Carnelian is traditionally associated with creativity, vitality and courage, while Tiger Eye has been associated with confidence, focus and inner strength.

The silver, movement and earth-toned stones make Uncharted Waters especially symbolic of exploration, change and trusting yourself when the path ahead isn't completely mapped out.

These traditional associations are offered as symbolism and personal meaning rather than medical claims.
