The enamel is layered and fused by fire, revealing patterns that unfold in ways I can guide but never fully predict. That element of chance is what makes each enamel piece feel organic, like nature collaborating in the process. No two firings are ever the same — this brooch exists only once.
Every step of the metalwork was done by hand at my bench. I cut the shape, smooth the edges, and build the enamel slowly through multiple kiln firings to create depth and movement. Some pieces pass through the kiln five times, others twenty. The process cannot be rushed, and the result is a piece of wearable art that is completely its own.
The back is finished in textured copper, a metal long associated with warmth and grounding. Many people are drawn to copper for its natural connection to the body and the Earth, adding another layer of meaning to the piece.
Art jewelry should feel personal — like a small celebration you carry with you.
