There are moments in nature that seem to exist for only an instant—the flash of a butterfly's wings, moonlight breaking through the trees, or a sudden shimmer of color that disappears almost as quickly as it appeared.

Magical Moments grew from that feeling.

At the center is a remarkable Labradorite whose color changes with the light. Golden fire moves across the upper portion of the stone before giving way to flashes of blue and green below. Natural dark lines sweep diagonally through the Labradorite, giving the stone an almost illuminated quality, as though light itself were passing through it.

Rather than overpowering that natural display, I built the sterling silver design around it.

Above the stone, a sculptural butterfly rests within a sweeping crescent form. Its wings are individually detailed, while its long lower wings flow downward toward the Labradorite, visually connecting the silverwork to the stone below.

The result is unmistakably a statement piece, yet there is something quiet about it too—a reminder of transformation, fleeting beauty and those unexpected moments when the ordinary suddenly becomes extraordinary.

Like all of my collector-level work, Magical Moments was created only once. The design will not be duplicated.

Labradorite has traditionally been associated with transformation, intuition and self-discovery. Its remarkable flashes of changing color have also made it a symbol of hidden possibilities—something extraordinary becoming visible when the light and perspective are just right.

The butterfly has long represented transformation, renewal and change, while the crescent is associated with cycles, intuition and new beginnings.

Together, those symbols give Magical Moments a lovely underlying message: some of life's most meaningful transformations reveal themselves gradually, and sometimes beauty appears when we least expect it.

Magical Moments is part of the Chrizart Creations archive of collected works. This original has been sold and remains in the archive as an example of Christine Keller's one-of-a-kind sterling silver statement jewelry and her longstanding use of natural stones as the starting point for wearable art.
