'Fire in the Rain' Enamel Pendant in blues and orange

heat and stillness… chaos and calm.

Fire in the Rain captures that feeling perfectly.

The hand-fired enamel centerpiece glows with fiery oranges and reds against deep midnight blues, creating a pattern that feels almost alive — like glowing embers flickering through a summer storm. The colors shift and move depending on the light, giving the piece incredible depth and energy.

What makes enamel work so fascinating is that the kiln always leaves its own fingerprint on the piece. During firing, the glass melts and flows in unpredictable ways, creating organic patterns that can never be duplicated exactly. That is what makes every enamel pendant truly one of a kind.

I framed the enamel in warm brass and paired it with a handcrafted brass chain featuring organic flowing lines that echo the movement within the pendant itself. The result feels earthy, artistic, and bold all at once.

This necklace was completely handcrafted in my Appalachian studio — from sawing and shaping the metal to layering the enamel through multiple kiln firings. The back is finished with textured wellness copper, a grounding metal long appreciated for its conductive and energetic properties.

This piece feels like wearable firelight.
