Beach Series No. 17 feels like standing at the edge of the ocean just before sunset — when the tide rolls in slowly and the world softens into layers of water and sky.

The focal stone is a beautiful polychrome jasper that naturally resembles an ocean scene. Soft greens, layered waves, and distant shoreline forms appear within the stone itself — no painting, no enhancement — just nature captured in mineral form.

To reinforce the coastal story, I added a handcrafted silver crab beneath the stone. Crabs symbolize resilience, protection, and the ability to move sideways through life when the path forward isn’t straight. They remind us to adapt and stay grounded while the tides shift around us.

Polychrome jasper is known as a stone of vitality, stability, and emotional balance. Like the ocean itself, it carries movement while remaining deeply rooted in the earth. Paired with silver — long appreciated for its balancing and conductive qualities — this piece becomes wearable coastal strength.

The pendant and all silver elements were cut, formed, and finished by hand in my Appalachian studio. It hangs from a 24" adjustable silver chain, allowing you to wear it at the length that feels just right.

This is Beach Series No. 17, entirely one of a kind. There will never be another stone with this exact shoreline.
