Some stones seem to hold an entire landscape within them.

The Living Earth began with a striking Azurite/Malachite stone whose deep greens, turquoise tones and earthy matrix reminded me of the land viewed from high above—forests, waterways and earth meeting in patterns that only nature could create.

I wanted the silver surrounding it to feel just as alive.

Rather than simply frame the stone, I created a bold, sculptural form in sterling silver and filled the surface with flowing, hand-applied textures. The lines move across the metal almost like currents, wind or the contours of the land, while the open space above the stone becomes part of the composition itself.

Below, handcrafted silver elements and Kambria Jasper beads hang freely, adding another dimension of movement. As the necklace is worn, the dangles shift and move with the wearer, changing the piece subtly from moment to moment.

That combination of earth, movement and change is what gave this work its name: The Living Earth.

This is the kind of piece that represents what I love most about creating one-of-a-kind jewelry. The stone may begin the conversation, but the finished work comes from responding to what I see within it—choosing the shape, texture, balance, movement and details that allow that particular stone to become something entirely its own.

Created individually by Christine Keller, The Living Earth is an original Chrizart Creations work. Its natural stone pattern and handcrafted silver composition make this piece singular. It will not be recreated.
