Pueblo Skyline was inspired by memories of colorful buildings glowing in the sunlight — from the bright riverside homes along the Danube to the warm desert tones of the Southwest where color seems to rise right out of the earth itself. This piece carries that same feeling of warmth, travel, creativity, and discovery.
The hand-painted enamel focal features a row of soft pastel buildings standing against a dreamy sky, each one slightly different from the next, like tiny stories waiting to be told. The colors feel uplifting and nostalgic at the same time, reminding me of wandering unfamiliar streets and finding beauty in simple moments.
The pendant is paired with a handcrafted copper chain accented with genuine Unakite stones and earthy beadwork that perfectly complement the natural warmth of the enamel scene. Every link was individually created by hand in my Appalachian studio, making the necklace feel organic, artistic, and deeply personal.
The enamel focal measures approximately 2 inches wide by 1¼ inches long, and the adjustable handcrafted chain allows for versatile wear.
What makes enamel work so fascinating is that no two firings are ever exactly alike. Each piece must pass through the kiln multiple times as the glass melts and shifts across the metal, creating patterns and depth that can never truly be duplicated. That unpredictability is part of what gives each piece its own soul.
The back is finished with textured wellness copper, a metal long appreciated for its grounding and conductive qualities. Many people are naturally drawn to copper for the warmth and connection it brings when worn close to the body.
Unakite is often associated with balance, emotional harmony, grounding, and spiritual insight. Many believe it helps bring the heart and mind into alignment while encouraging calm and personal growth.
