This beautiful Maligano Jasper immediately reminded me of a woodland scene. The natural patterns within the stone looked like distant trees stretching toward the horizon, so I allowed the silver to continue the story. The background was textured with a forest motif, extending the landscape beyond the stone itself, while a polished golden moon and tiny stars illuminate the evening sky above.
Rather than simply creating a setting, I wanted the silver to become part of the landscape—to frame the scene without taking away from the remarkable artwork nature had already created within the Jasper.
