Layer by layer, color by color, stone holds the memory of ancient movement—shifting minerals, changing landscapes, and countless years shaped into patterns no artist could ever duplicate.

That feeling inspired Layers of the Earth.

At the center of these one-of-a-kind earrings are beautifully matched Banded Crazy Lace Agate gemstones in soft earth tones. Waves of cream, rust, rose, taupe, and warm brown travel across each stone like distant canyon walls or geological layers revealed over time.

I set the stones in handcrafted sterling silver, adding a gently textured surface that echoes the natural banding within the agate. The elongated shape gives the earrings a graceful, contemporary silhouette while allowing the remarkable patterns in the stones to remain the focus.

They hang from handcrafted sterling silver earwires and measure approximately 2½ inches in length, creating noticeable movement without feeling overly heavy or dramatic.

Like the layers within the stones themselves, these earrings carry a story shaped slowly by nature—one that can now continue with the person who wears them.
