'Shine On' Sun Face Copper Wellness Cuff

There's something about a smiling sun that can brighten even the cloudiest day!

Shine On is a cheerful, one-of-a-kind copper cuff featuring a happy sun face created from an old vintage jewelry die. I love working with these antique tools, bringing designs from another era into the present through my own craftsmanship.

But there's much more to this cuff than its sunny personality.

It begins as a solid sheet of copper, which I cut to size, sand, and heat-treat. The decorative pattern is then pressed into the metal, followed by another round of heating.

Next comes the sun face itself. I form and cut out the design, attach it to the cuff along with its stone setting, and carefully shape the bracelet. Finally, I apply a patina to bring out the details before cleaning and finishing the piece.

Each step is done individually at my jewelry bench.

The finished cuff has a wonderful warmth and character, with the smiling sun serving as a little reminder to look for the light, even on difficult days.

Wearing & Care

Each cuff begins as a 6-inch length of solid metal. As I roll the decorative pattern into the surface using my rolling mill, the metal naturally stretches, resulting in a finished length of approximately 6¼ to 6½ inches.

The cuff remains open at the back, allowing it to accommodate a range of wrist sizes and comfortably fit most wrists.

For the best fit, gently adjust the cuff when you first receive it. To avoid repeatedly stressing the metal, turn the opening toward the side of your wrist when putting it on or removing it, rather than continually bending it open and closed.

To help preserve the shape of your cuff, adjust it gently to fit your wrist the first time you wear it.
