This Pendant is called 'Mystical Skies' and was inspired by the beautiful skies from both day time and nighttime, I am so lucky to see from my cabin. This is my version of what they would look like combined together, the day and the night. The handcrafted enamel is topped with an Azurite with silver in it, that just mimics what the enamel holds- magic and wonder. The chain is all handcrafted out of silver and has apatite stones throughout its length, the color accenting the focal. This also comes with a pair of matching earrings made of silver. The earrings measure 1 1/2"L The chain of the pendant is aprox 22" and wraps around the neck to hook in the front. The Focal is 2 3/4" from the top of the stone to the bottom of the enamel and 2"acroos the enamel.
I prepared all the metal used in my creations from cutting out the shapes to sanding the edges, they are really hand crafted, every step of the way. Each enamel piece must go through the kiln anywhere from 5 to 20 times to get the color built up on to the metal. I love working with enamels because of the many different patterns that show up, many that I have no control over. This is what makes them a one of a kind piece. It's great to wear art jewelry for that very reason....it will be yours alone! These are back by textured hand cut wellness copper- an amazing metal that help the body in so many ways. All the enameling I use in my jewelry is created by myself in studio- these are not prefab pieces. All Copper used is also shaped and pattern by myself, making it true one of a kind jewelry. Enameling is fun to do but can be a long process as you have to prep the metal and then put it through multiple firings in order to layer the color.
