 Mystical Skies – One-of-a-Kind Enamel & Azurite Silver Pendant with Matching Earrings

Mystical Skies was inspired by the ever-changing skies I’m fortunate to witness from my cabin—those quiet moments when daylight fades into night and both seem to exist at once. This piece is my interpretation of that overlap, where color, light, and wonder meet.

The pendant features a hand-enameled surface layered with rich, shifting hues that echo both daytime skies and nighttime depth. Each enamel section is built slowly through multiple kiln firings—sometimes five, sometimes twenty—allowing the colors and patterns to develop organically. Many of the final effects are beautifully unpredictable, which is exactly what makes each enameled piece truly one of a kind.

Crowning the enamel is a striking azurite with natural silver inclusions, chosen for how perfectly it mirrors the magic held within the enamel itself. Together, the stone and enamel create a sense of movement, mystery, and quiet awe.

The fully handcrafted silver chain is accented with small apatite stones spaced throughout its length, their blue tones subtly reinforcing the sky-inspired palette. The necklace is designed to wrap around the neck and fasten in the front, creating an intentional, art-forward presentation.

This piece also includes a pair of matching handcrafted silver earrings, completing the set while allowing each element to stand on its own.

All metal used in this piece—from cutting and forming to sanding and finishing—was prepared entirely by hand in my Appalachian studio. The enameled elements are backed with textured, hand-cut copper, a metal long appreciated for its grounding and wellness-related qualities.
