Dragonfly Passage Enamel Pendant

Dragonfly Passage reminds me of the fleeting shimmer of a dragonfly gliding over water on a warm summer evening — vibrant, untamed, and impossible to ignore. The rich enamel colors feel alive with energy, blending fiery orange, deep cobalt blue, bright yellow, and soft aqua into patterns that almost appear to dance across the surface.

What I love most about enamel work is that it always leaves room for surprise. During the many kiln firings required to build the colors, the glass shifts and flows in ways that cannot be completely controlled. That spontaneity is what gives each piece its soul.

The open window design adds lightness and movement to the pendant, while the hand-formed silver swirl at the top gives it an organic, flowing finish that feels perfectly at home with the dragonfly inspiration behind the piece.

This pendant measures approximately 2 inches in length by 1 inch wide and hangs from a sparkling 20-inch silver chain, making it easy to wear alone or layered with your favorite pieces.

The back is finished with textured wellness copper, a grounding metal long appreciated for its conductive and energetic qualities. Many people feel deeply connected to copper jewelry for the warmth and balance it brings when worn close to the body.

Every detail of this piece was handcrafted in my Appalachian studio — from cutting and shaping the metal to building the enamel layer by layer through repeated kiln firings.
