Bands of violet, soft blue, cream and earthy brown had already created the beginning of the scene. Three whale tails rise from the textured silver landscape, capturing that fleeting moment when whales disappear beneath the surface and leave only a glimpse behind.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eAbove them sits a softly glowing \u003cstrong\u003eMoonstone\u003c\/strong\u003e, surrounded by radiating lines of textured silver. The purples echo the Chalcedony, while the blues and greens bring in the colors of water and earth.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eThe chain isn't simply something that holds the pendant. It is part of the artwork.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eThat has become an important part of many of my larger statement pieces—allowing the story to continue beyond the focal stone and into every element of the finished design.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3 dir=\"auto\"\u003eOne Stone. I didn't need to invent the landscape—the stone had already created it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eMy job was simply to listen to it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eI set the Maligano Jasper in sterling silver against a substantial, darkened and textured silver backdrop, allowing the clean geometry of the setting to contrast with the completely organic world inside the stone.
